La Chapelle Neuve

The southern limit of the commune follows the ancient Roman road from Quintin to Morlaix. However, today there are no traces of Roman occupation.

In historical times, La Chapelle-Neuve was dominated by the noble families of Kerméno and Botloy-Koathalek, whose manor, located 2 kilometers to the north of the commune, is now in ruin.

Following a truce with Plougonver, La Chapelle-Neuve became a parish on April 5, 1862 and a commune on June 27, 1873.
